Reviews
Cool venue. Good atmosphere. Intimate 250-person stage. Back patio for bumming cigarettes after the show. The venue also turned into a dance party after the ticketed performance which looked pretty good in it's own right.
Awesome venue, saw Sun Ra Arkestra, old bar area is cool too, off the main Bushwood drag a bit. Def go back soon.
Went for a music event, at the start it was very packed but to my understanding there was another event before mine so the current event had to end before the other began. The drinks were a fair price granted all I ever got was Cider. The event was fun and I had a good time, this spot mostly cater to hipsters as it was in Bushwick
After several visits to this Queens-based gem, I gotta say: This is the place to be in NYC. TV Eye is a veritable mecca to all that is subcultural & cool. This Sunday I saw my homies from the Flying Luttenbachers backing the legendary Lydia Lunch in an intimate, blisteringly loud soiree. What a perfect venue for the show, the sound was proper, the room is sexy & dark, the bar & outdoor patio area a pleasure to peruse…
Drinks were cheap for a music venue. Crowd was sooooo friendly. Only problem was the sound system. It was a crowded room and lots of speakers. Ear plugs a requirement and they charge 2$ for then. Otherwise 5 stars!
Got tickets to a band here and wasn't sure what to expect, as is the case with trying new venues. I was really satisfied with TV Eye! There's a bar in the front, a connected middle bar, and even a small bar in the venue room. Prices were very fair, there weren't any cans over $6, and the beer/shot combo is a good deal. The side yard was also very nice for hopping out in between sets and the group this place attracts is very pleasant and hospitable. I will be looking for more shows at this venue for sure.
Awesome spot! Outdoor space, two bars, and a performance space with good sound and an intimate feel. There’s also a secret room based on a set from The Shining - I only caught a glimpse! I would describe the overall vibe as “upscale dive bar,” which means I was instantly comfortable. Looking forward to returning for more live music!
This venue has an eclectic vibe that just feels right for the punk / grunge scene. They have lots of events like an erotic art show recently and punk cover bands coming up this month. They have outdoor areas as well if you need respite from inside.
